The newly-refurbished Railway Hotel in Fordingbridge has reopened its doors after months of being closed due to lockdown.

The former pub on Station Road has been transformed into a new boutique hotel and has recently started welcoming back diners and hotel guests.

It was originally opened in the 1860’s by Eldridge Pope, a Dorchester Brewer and served Fordingbridge Railway Station, which was one of the stops on the newly built Salisbury and Dorset Railway.

Fusion were tasked with providing the fire alarm, intruder alarm and CCTV systems within the new hotel and we were so excited to be involved in such a fantastic project.

Joe Goddard from Fusion said ‘We love working on restoration projects like the Railway Hotel, to see an old building given a new lease of life is a real thrill for us’.
